Nathaniel Wingate Peaslee

Nathaniel Wingate Peaslee is the Miskatonic economist and narrator of The Shadow Out of Time. A five-year interruption of his normal personality destroys his family life and leads him into the study of dreams, memory and the Great Race. His 1935 expedition to Western Australia seems to confirm that his missing years were spent in a prehuman body, but the loss of material proof leaves him hoping that the experience was unreal.
