A. Merritt (1884–1943), also known as Abraham Merritt, was an American journalist, editor and writer of fantastic fiction. His tales join extravagant visual invention with dangerous journeys into hidden or parallel worlds. He belongs to the literary background of Lovecraft’s cosmic horror and also shared authorship of the 1935 round-robin story The Challenge from Beyond.
