The Cthulhu Mythos is a developing network of stories, names, fictional books, places and recurring ideas. Its connections are real, but its authors do not always agree about the beings they share. The Thing in the Moonlight

The Thing in the Moonlight is a posthumous construction by J. Chapman Miske around a nightmare described in Lovecraft’s correspondence. The original dream concerns an apparently usable streetcar in an impossible landscape and the inhuman crew approaching it. Miske changes the ending and adds a transmission frame. Those two textual layers require separate attribution.
