Providence is Alan Moore and Jacen Burrows’s twelve-issue comic series, published by Avatar Press in 2015–2017. Beginning with journalist Robert Black in 1919, it makes the origins and interpretation of Lovecraftian fiction part of its own mystery. It is connected to The Courtyard and Neonomicon, while developing a distinct historical setting and a dense interplay between images, records and literary allusions.
